For a whole year, visitors to the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich were greeted by different types of seating, thanks to the project “Social Seating”. These invited them to sit down and interact. The encounter between museum visitors took place within the museum space in the form of social seating. The focus was on the opportunity for open communication with other museum visitors, as well as our relationship with the seating and the objects that serve as seating.
In the Rotunda of the Pinakothek der Moderne, people were able to meet spontaneously and sit comfortably on the seating. These included our Tatlin sofa by Mario Cananzi and Roberto Semprini, and the Standard sofa by Francesco Binfaré.

Edra has been partner of the SAND – Sanremo Design 2025 exhibition at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Sanremo, an exhibition entirely dedicated to the world of contemporary design, the result of an educational project that involved students, teachers and two excellences of Italian design: Edra and Artemide.
The theme chosen for the 2025 edition was “the suspended temporality of design”, a reflection on the value of objects capable of crossing eras and styles, going beyond fashions. On display, iconic pieces and exclusive articles from the archives of Edra and Artemide, as well as products just presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
To enrich the inauguration, a talk with leading figures in the sector: Monica Mazzei, vice president of Edra, Carlotta de Bevilacqua, president of Artemide, and the architect Carlo Biasia of Interni Magazine, who discussed the transformations and prospects of design.

An evening to remember at the showroom of our dealer Kollwitz45 in Berlin: a special moment to discover and try out the models of the Edra collection, such as the On the Rocks, Standalto and Essential sofas by Francesco Binfarè and the Vermelha armchair by Fernando and Humberto Campana.

Edra accompanies the renewal of the Querini Stampalia Foundation, which under the guidance of Director Cristiana Collu, on May 5th has inaugurated a new season of its cultural history with an ambitious project that intertwines the transformation of spaces with the cultural imagination, redefining its vision and language.
