Edra, in cooperation with Living House Co. Ltd., exclusive distributor in Japan , opened its first Japanese flagship store in Tokyo, in the Minami-Aoyama district, a hub of international creativity and art.
The principles behind the flagship store project are the same that have always defined Edra and its spaces: elegance, attention to details, absolute quality, and showcasing the products as the true protagonists. Spazio Edra is a timeless environment. Large mirrored wall surfaces dissolve boundaries and reflect the pure geometries of the pieces, allowing them to be admired from every angle.
Kosuke Kitamura, President of Living House, also explains how the culture of living is evolving in Japan: “Traditionally, the home was considered a private, reserved space. But today there is a growing desire to be surrounded by authentic, high-quality furnishings that can express one’s personal sensibility. In this context, Edra is the perfect interpreter of an ongoing transformation, bringing its unique vision of beauty and comfort to Japan”.

Edra inaugurated its new Spazio Edra showroom in Hangzhou, China, with a Grand Opening on September 30th, attended by Niccolò Mazzei, Director of International Development, and Mr. Liangjie Yu, owner of Boella.
The Spazio Edra showroom reflects the principles that have always guided Edra and define its spaces: elegance, attention to detail, and absolute quality, with the products on display taking center stage. The large mirrored surfaces blur boundaries and reflect the pure geometries of the models, allowing them to be admired from every angle.

This new issue continues the story that Edra began to talk of itself and of its gaze on the world, of architecture, the arts, furnishings and good living.

For a whole year, visitors to the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich were greeted by different types of seating, thanks to the project “Social Seating”. These invited them to sit down and interact. The encounter between museum visitors took place within the museum space in the form of social seating. The focus was on the opportunity for open communication with other museum visitors, as well as our relationship with the seating and the objects that serve as seating.
In the Rotunda of the Pinakothek der Moderne, people were able to meet spontaneously and sit comfortably on the seating. These included our Tatlin sofa by Mario Cananzi and Roberto Semprini, and the Standard sofa by Francesco Binfaré.
